A cosmographic painting of the Cup-and-Ring Breaching Sign from Robin Artisson’s “Sarmenie: Meditations and Metaphysics for the Ancient Fayerie Faith”. The central symbol is a map showing the relationship between the Waking World, Dreams, and Fayerie. Signs for Fire and Water, the Sun and the Moon flank the Cup-and-Ring and place it in a liminal position. The seals of the Four Huntsmen of King Oberon are arranged in the cardinal directions to signify the Houses of Morning, Meadow, Abyss, and the Black House. Hand painted on a 4″x4″ canvas with acrylic and metallic gold and silver paint.
