Description

A small devotional image of the spirit Fata, the Third of the Seven Fairy Sisters. According to the grimoire tradition, she serves Queen Mycob and is the Daughter of Oberon. The Seven Sisters are said to show and teach the nature of herbs, and give instruction in physic; and bring a ring of invisibility. Her name is written in the Allos and Younger Futhark Runes. Hand painted on a 3″x3″ canvas with acrylic and metallic silver paint. I started this painting during the 2021 Viridis Genii Symposium, so the background is green in honor of the event.
